The Siobhán Nic Cionnaith Theatre, on the first floor at An Chultúrlann, hosts a busy schedule of live events.  With retractable theatre seating for 120, the space is extremely multi-functional allowing for regular concerts, céilís, dramas, cinema, meetings, conferences, lectures and more.  Boasting the best in sound and lighting equipment, An Chultúrlann attracts the big names in the entertainment industry and the rising stars of tomorrow.

As a cabaret space, the theatre regularly hosts the best in traditional and contemporary music, allowing for an informal and intimate audience/performer relationship.  As a boutique  theatre, An Chultúrlann has been host to the finest in Irish and international drama.  Resident theatre company Aisling Ghéar and many visiting companies ensure An Chultúrlann’s reputation as the Belfast home of Irish Language drama.

Our Theatre is also the home of Cór Loch Lao, Belfast’s Irish Language Choir. The choir practice weekly in the theatre and have often performed at An Chultúrlann and at many other venues.
